MG 59295 - Scholarship for 190 children in Krasang - Buriram / Isaan 

Children selected in the first year will receive the annual amount for the full period of 3 years. New candidates will be added when former recipients leave the school or when former recipients no longer need scholarship support.

90 Primary School (‘Prathom’) pupils will receive the same annual support amount of $40,
100 High School (‘Mattayom’) students will receive the same annual support amount of $50.

Scholarship funds will be used for school uniforms & shoes, schoolbooks, school supplies, Mattayom 4-6 tuition fees, support for school lunches and transportation, similar items.

07. July 2006 P Marliese Fritz, Rtn. Toy and PE Steve Ryser drove to Buriram to hand over scholarships to children of needy families. Thanks to help of Rotarians from Southborough/ District 7910 USA, private sponsors from Switzerland, RC Eastern Seaboard Pattaya and our Sister Club RC Krasang -Buriam District 3340, we could give scholarships to 190 students in total. All students, their parents and/or Teachers had to sign a form, in which you can find all specifications, a picture of the student, the amount received and the purpose of the scholarship. All were waiting in tension for the handing over of the scholarships. By the speech of one of them all students promised to do their very best in school in favour of society and their whole family.

05.July 2007 Before dawn , IPP Marliese Fritz, P Steve Ryser and his lovely wife Rtn. Toy Ryser took to the road to meet up in Krasang. The second year starts to hand over the Scholar Ships for scholars at School Ban Soon Neon, who do not have the means from home to afford the school fees. The most fun part for the kids was a tasty and hefty Lunch, with the compliments of the RCES. To obtain a Thai sweet dessert after a meal is for most of school children in Krasang great luxury.

06.July 2007 District Governor Dr. Arnon Chirajavala from Buriram, IPP Marliese, P Steve, Rtns Toy and Nit, as well as Rotarians from RC Krasang - Buriram handed out the Scholarships at the School Ban Dak Ron Thai to the designated kids and all this was celebrated with an RCES sponsored communal Lunch to School Master, Teachers and the Kids.
