Objectives: the delivery of 10 English Language Learning CDs

Press: Pattaya Mail and TV reporters

Short summary of the event: The RCES delegation arrived on time at 10.00 hours. We were welcomed by the schools’ Dean and several teachers employed in this well managed school with a pleasant environment on “Soi” Railway in Pattaya. There are over 400 students from ages ranging from 5 or six up to 12 years old thus receiving 6 years elementary and 3 years secondary education. The school has no religious or racial attitude; all kids are welcome, which underlines the generosity of the Muslim religion.

The boy Wanchai, a receipient of scholarship from the RCES, donated by Elfi Seitz from Pattaya Blatt, is one of the pupils of the School Bann Rotfai and came along with his mother and small sister for a photo session and Toy Ryser’s niece, “Strawberry”, also a student of the School – a very happy kid, one might add. That was our impression when meeting children for a “joint” photo session of one class.

The principal language teacher Khun Seri Magusag very quickly grasped the benefits of this language tuition method and appeared delighted with the presentation and the efficient program performance. He will take the CD home to comfortably familiarize himself with the program and stated that he firmly believes in the scheme already.

The RCES delegation left after one hour with a very good feeling that they have again successfully made their presentation.

Objectives: the delivery of 10 English Language Learning CDs

Dedicated by RCES: P. Stefan Ryser introducing the purpose and application of the English Language CD via a computer and not the video system, for pupils from the second school year onwards. By the way this learning system has in fact two important purposes, most importantly obviously learning the English words, and later how to build a simple sentence in the English language, all done so in a very professional way. There is also an other positive side, this is getting acquainted with the application of a computer from a very early age onwards.

Both Learning processes take place parallel and virtually automatically, thus serving two purposes in one.

The Thai Language Computer CD, works like a game; by playing the drawings by "a click", the answers will have to be correct, other than that the student is reprimanded and asked to try again. "Computering" starts immediately together with learning the English language for the very youngest of pupils.

Since there were 3 Head of School from the surrounding area present at this "hand-over" P. Stefan immediately took the opportunity to hand over them also 10 CDs each, on their request being so impressed by Steve’s introduction.
The 3 newly "dedected" schools are - Kindergarden Baan Tao Than School - Gled Gaew School - Baan K.M.5 School.

September 2007 to hand over the Dean of the School, Khun Somjoc Jindisuk, 10 English Educational CD's.
This was also the official sportsday of the school and we was a bit surprised, that we should share the sportsday at the school, we came to witness the march-pass of the schools students, divided in to four teams indentified by their banners and uniforms; green, red, yellow and blue respectively. There was also a school-marching band and all was very theatrical, gay and very important to the school kids (aged 6 to 12 years) and their mentors. An oath was delivered by all participants (I guess saying not to cheat, to respect the umpires' decisions, to participate in the competitions in a clean and fair sporting way to obtain the best results for the honor of their school and teams. All parents in the stands were visibly proud of their kids being part of this very important school event.
And than it was the turn of the RCES - more precisely our President Stefan Ryser - to hand over to Khun Somjoc Jindisuk, Head Master of the School, in presence of Khun Suksit Jaemsrie, Municipality Mayor and many more dignitaries of the Municipality of Nong Prue seated in the Grand Stand of the School Sports Stadium of the SMJSPNP the 10 Thai-English CD study programs for Beginners, development and idea by Dr. Claus Rink (RCES Member) and distributed by the RCES.
