Piano Recital Concert for Charity funded by Rtn.Ferenc Fricsay, member of RCES
Ce-Eff Krueger, a friend of Rtn. Ferenc Fricsay introduced to the Club and in course to the Concert going Public of Pattaya Piano Maestro Wilhelm Ohmen for an all the out Mozart program (in the Mozart jubilee year) on November 23/24. November 2006 held in the Grand Ball Room of the Marriott Resort & Spa Pattaya.
With a substantial sponsorship provided by the Marriott Business Council, the Marriott Resort & Spa Pattaya, Lomatec the Pool Specialists Pattaya and the Pattaya Mail Group of Companies RCES obtained an excellent funding to stage an event of importance, substance and culture believed to be the first such event organized by a Rotary Club in Pattaya. The concert was eminent success with a net profit of over THB 170’000,-. We welcomed over 650 concert goers attending the performance and all left impressed of the very high musical standard. Thank you Maestro Ohmen.
The event proceeds allow the RCES to contribute funds to one or more education institutions to upgrade facilities in the region in the district of Chonburi. One of the benefactors is the Middle School in the Ma Ping Region in Ma Ping, where the concentration concerns the hygiene standards of the school in a four pronged project concept (lavatories, hand washing troughs, dish washing facilities, storage of flat and hollow-ware) in addition to upgrading the playground facilities.
