Pattaya International Magic Festival, October 20 - 21, 2007

" Mr. Tuxedo " approached our CP Martin Brands to request Rotary to sponsor a visit of 20 boys of the Banglamung Boys Home. As he hates small numbers and knows that the Home has a lot more boys, he requested Khun Gerard Lemmers to sponsor all the kids of the Home. With the support of Khun Pairoat "Tuxedo" and some additional funds from RC Eastern Seaboard, RC Jomtien-Pattaya and himself, all 155 boys visited the show on October 20 and 21.
The Alangkarn performances were given by 13 magicians from the US, Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand, each performing some of their best acts. Unfortunately no picture-taking was allowed, so you must believe that the shows were very entertaining.
Having participated all over the world in many of such shows, " Mr.Tuxedo " explains in the program that he had the dream for a long time to organize such a festival in Pattaya. This dream came true last October, and we all hope that this will become an annual event.
So ended a well-spent weekend that brought class-entertainment to the kids of Banglamung Boys Home and to all of us. For various reasons, these boys have missed much in life. Thanks to Superintendent Khun Chamaiporn Metasuth and her staff, they receive great love and excellent care. It is a privilige for us to help them from time to time!
