A great project between Rotary District 2000 Switzerland and RC Eastern Seaboard Pattaya
Led by the corona of the RCES board, members and many more volunteer gathered after a long car trip back in Krasang where they have now been on many occasions to source for projects where genuine assistance is welcomed and needed.
Such, 2500 school kids, teachers, elderly and those who have hard times obtaining fresh water are now able to enjoy the precious wet. All RCES are professional installations and positioned, completed and tested in locations, where the combination of quick access, easy maintenance and short piping give the best options for a long and efficient water provision.
It is heartwarming to observe the youngster when they realize, with glowing eyes and excitement in their body language, when they first taste out of cups also provided by the RCES to the “luxury” they suddenly have access to. For the Westerner and the Thai City dwellers the quality of water provisions are seldom questioned. That is not so and much different out in the rural areas in this country as large as Germany. Not that there is always water guaranteed, even in minor cities, but after a few hours or a day or two water will be flowing again. That is the reason why more often than not our projects involve drilling a well, sometimes as deep as 70 meters.
